New data from crypto asset manager CoinShares reveals that Ethereum (ETH) is commanding the majority of institutional attention as digital assets see nearly $4 billion in weekly inflows.
In its weekly research blog, CoinShares says that crypto assets saw $3.76 billion worth of inflows last week, and Ethereum itself made up a staggering 77% of that, coming in at $2.87 billion worth of inflows.
“Digital asset investment products saw $3.75 billion inflows, the fourth-largest on record, driving AuM (assets under management) to an all-time high of $244 billion.
Ethereum led with $2.87 billion inflows (77% of total), pushing YTD (year-to-date) inflows to a record $11 billion, far surpassing Bitcoin on a proportional basis. Solana and XRP saw inflows of $176.5 million and $125.9 million, respectively.
Conversely, Litecoin (LTC) and Ton (TON) saw outflows of $0.4 million and $1 million, respectively.”
CoinShares goes on to note that one specific exchange-traded fund (ETF) – BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) – was doing particularly well, while the flagship digital asset posted modest numbers in terms of inflows.
“Unusually, almost all inflows were concentrated in a single provider, iShares, and one specific investment product… Inflows far outstrip Bitcoin, with YTD inflows representing 29% of AuM compared to Bitcoin’s 11.6%. Bitcoin saw modest inflows in comparison, totaling $552 million.”
Ethereum is trading for $4,323 at time of writing, a 5% decrease on the day, while Bitcoin (BTC) and ETHA are valued at $115,851 and $32.84, respectively.
